Under Article 4(1) of the Public Appointments Order in Council 2025, the Commissioner ‘must exercise his or her functions under this Order with the object of ensuring that appointing authorities act in accordance with the Governance Code, including the principles of public appointments.’ As part of this duty, the Commissioner publicly reports on non-compliance with the Governance Code in his annual report and on his website. Breaches during the current reporting year are detailed below.
